Peterborough
We hiked and camped in Silent Lake Provincial Park and drove on to Peterborough where we were fascinated with the lift lock. This hydraulic lift lock, built in 1904, has two “tubs” which hold the boats. As one side comes down the other goes up.

Vermont
We spent 4 days building a storage barn on Jessica’s and Christy’s property north of Montpelier, Vermont. The lumber was delivered. However, since there is no electricity on the property we transported some lumber to the neighbors (10 minute hike down the road) where we did find electricity. We did have time to enjoy an evening fire and a walk to the river.
